Black Keys and White

An ode to an old friend ~

Black keys and white,
they know me,
they feed on my salt,
they drink from my eyes.

Black keys and white,
they hide my faults,
they enjoy my sorrow,
they keep silent.

Black keys and white,
they major in minor spaces,
they minor the major emptiness,
they don’t leave me.

Black keys and white,
they speak it all,
they are still quiet,
they are my friends.
