An oxymoron worth a thought

In one of his well known plays, Hamlet, Shakespeare said “I must be cruel only to be kind.” Isn’t this what we all have to do? I often remember instances when I have to be bad to some people in order to be good to them. I can’t help it. It is a matter of choice and I eventually want to be nice but in the process, I have to be rude and mean. It’s hard to explain but this is how it goes. I figure that it’s the best way out, even Mr Shakespeare approves of it.
