I liked the movie. It was one of those rare flicks that make me not make a face at Shah Rukh Khan. Anoushka Sharma was ok, quite raw, I could say. Some moments were boring, others completely crappy and stupid but some were really sweet. I think girls would like this movie much better than the boys. It touched it chord somewhere

I saw Sarkar Raj yesterday. I think it was a superb movie and Mr Bacchan’s performance was awesome. I was very distracted during the movie coz:

The movie started before the scheduled time. The janta was still trying to find their way in the dark, and were making a lot of noise. Add to this the stamping of feet and getting squashed by people trying to get to their seats.

Some coochie-coo-ing couple kept on arguing with another coochie-coo-ing couple.

I sat next to a lady with a 2yr old kid and the kid went ‘OWAAAAAAAAH’ in my ear. I heard more baby-talk than the dialogues.

I don’t think it makes sense scolding 2yr old kids and that too at stereophonic sound.

My coffee was way too strong and the popcorn was soggy.

I had fever and was feeling cold.

But still, it was a nice movie..whatever I saw and understood of it. I think Big B should get an award and he proved once again why he’s the best!

For Mumbai’s enterprising janta, no place is far and inaccessible. When it comes to one of the finest multiplexes in the city – 24 Karat Multiplex, albeit, secluded amidst the slum-industrial area of Jogeshwari (W), is such an example.

Owned by the same people who own Jaipur’s Raj Mandir, 24 Karat is a family entertainment hub.

As you enter the gates, you can see this vast multiplex which boasts of 4 screen cinema halls, a food court, a well managed box office and parking space area. The main entrance of the building is designed with posters of movies of yester years.

The ground level foyer has beautiful Rajasthani stone work on the floor and 2 Gold-leaf coated pillars and view from there to the ceiling makes one marvel at the beauty of the place. The decor of the entire place is classy and rich.

The 4 audis provide comfortable plush seating to enrich your viewing. The concessions are well stocked and provide refreshments at not very high rates. As most multiplexes are family entertainment centres, 24 Karat has arcade games and an internet station too. 24 Karat also offers a banquet and a terrace hall to host parties and special occasions.

But I guess the pride of the multiplex is the hand painted mural of Mughal-E-Azam. I assume that it is about 40 feet high and any viewers delight.

The ticket prices are less as compared to most of the multiplexes around the city but the surrounding area is not too great. The crowd coming in is decent though.

24 Karat for all its grandeur is worth a try especially if you want tickets on weekends.
